MATTIFYING BLOTTING PAPERS
a beauty secret of
17th century Japan

Le Rituel de Geishas: a booklet of 100 aburatorigami, traditional Japanese blotting papers that absorb excess oil and shine in an instant without disturbing make up.

For more than 300 years these fine papers were used by gold leaf artisans to protect their work from humidity, until the geishas of the 17th century discovered their power to keep the complexion fresh and matte.

Made in Japan using traditional methods, from natural wood cellulose fibres.

Tear off a sheet and press it gently onto shiny areas such as the forehead, nose and chin. Use throughout the day to refresh your complexion and help make up last.

BIENAIMÉ

Under Paul Parquet's mentorship, renowned perfumer Robert Bienaimé crafted innovative scents like Quelques Fleurs for Houbigant.

His own house, The house of Bienaimé was launched in 1935 but lay dormant following his death until 2021 when it was revived by Cécilia Mergui.

The revival of Bienaimé transcends product relaunch; it's a journey through time, reconnecting with an era of enduring beauty. Mergui's vision infuses modernity into the brand while honoring Bienaimé's legacy, offering reusable, recyclable packaging.

This revival isn't just about products; it's about evoking emotions and memories by creating a dreamy, poetic universe that celebrates eternal beauty.
